Neat® easy-clean coating

A patented invisible titanium dioxide layer with photocatalysis and anti-static properties. Neat helps windows stay cleaner for longer than uncoated glass by reacting with the sun’s UV rays breaking down organic pollutants through a process called photocatalysis.

A clearer view, thanks to the sun

Neat technology harnesses the sun’s rays to lift dirt so the rain can easily wash it away. So you can enjoy a clearer view for longer.

​The titanium dioxide layer of Neat reacts chemically with the sun’s UV rays and causes organic materials that are on the glass to decompose. It works even on cloudy days, as 80% of UV radiation gets through cloud cover. So when it rains, the decomposed dirt is looser and therefore less likely to cling to the glass surface.

Low maintenance low-E glass

Neat makes the low-E glass more conductive than uncoated glass, to inhibit the build-up of static electricity which attracts dirt and dust to the surface.

Energy efficient windows that also save water are a huge advantage for sustainable buildings. And less window cleaning means less money and water wasted, and more time spent enjoying the clearest possible view.

How it works

The Neat coating makes the glass “hydrophilic” and therefore smoother than ordinary “hydrophobic” glass. This allows water to disperse evenly and evaporate quickly to reduce water spotting or streaking. So water resists build up and ‘sheets’ off rather than ‘bead’ off, keeping the surface cleaner for longer.
