The BMW flagship dealership and showroom at 209 Kings Way in South Melbourne is a stunning sight, spanning 9,632m2. This high-quality redevelopment included the construction of a new two-level building, transforming the site into a prominent retail and commercial hub for BMW.

The expansive glass façade, using over 1,000m2 of glass in panel sizes of up to 3,500 x 1,800mm, draws attention to the shiny luxury vehicles from the freeway and beyond.

Working with glazier and Schiavello subsidiary Heritage Glass, we supplied the entire glass façade using LoE-366® triple silver low-e IGUs in a 6mm clear /12mm argon /12mm laminated glass configuration from our glass processing operation in Dandenong South. This glass choice provides solar control and reduces glare and heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter, thanks to the invisible triple layer of silver.

Additionally, the patented Neat® easy-clean coating on the outer surface keeps the glass naturally cleaner for longer. So, the showroom and its staff can spend more time showing off the beautiful vehicles and less time worrying about window cleaning and thermal control.
